Successful Launch of Lone Pine Durian
Demand for durians has skyrocketed in the past decade as international consumers have been introduced and exposed to the "King of Fruits". Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Lone Pine Group is proud to announce and celebrate the successful launch of our new product, Lone Pine Durian. Our durians have been cultivated for over 30 years on our very own orchard in the Island of Penang.
We are truly grateful to our customers for allowing us the opportunity to be their durian provider. Thank you for your endless support, feedback and reviews which have been tremendously helpful for us in developing our products and improving our services. We strive to be the best and to serve you better.
For those who missed out on our rich, creamy, and appetising durian during our 2022 season, we look forward to serving you during the next durian season (which is in approximately 6 months!). Our durian orchard comes with a lovely range of durians including Musang King, Green Skin, Red Prawn and many more. New Management to Usher in 2022
2021 went by swiftly with a handful of notable events.
We started this year with sombre news, our Founder and Chairman, Dato' Sri Ir. Ooi Boon Seng who helmed our Group of Companies for over 30 years passed on at the start of the new year.
While we mourn the loss of a great man, our Co-Founder Mr. Ng Lee Sen will take the reins and lead us forward to greater heights. Mr. Ng has been with the Group of Companies since it began and has substantial experience in financial matters and project planning in the property development and construction arm. His responsibilities entail the smooth management of financial cash flow and maintaining close coordination with local government departments on the various project development planning matters of the Group of Companies.
We also welcome two Executive Directors Ms. Ooi Peiying and Mr. Ooi Sheng Long to jointly bring forth exciting new ideas. With her background in finance and having a Masters in housing, Ms. Ooi Peiying is largely involved in the operations of projects and business development of the Group of Companies. She brings with her experience and expertise that enhanced our corporate governance and ensures smooth operation in the Group of Companies.
Mr. Ooi Sheng Long is key in project planning, site management, and heads the procurement and contract department. He is also an RICS and IMI mediator, as well as a CIDB certified QLASSIC assessor. He is responsible for maintaining close coordination with local government departments on the various project development planning matters of the Group of Companies. In addition, he works closely with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to spearhead our projects.
The effects of COVID still ripple through our economy. But fret not! We are back stronger and ready to bring you new projects with fresh concepts. For durian lovers, exciting news awaits you! We hope to satisfy your palates with the rich and creamy King of Fruits this season.
One of the effects of COVID was the dissolution of our partnership with Aspen Group for the development of one of our projects. However, we are blessed to have secured a new partner who is eager to develop the project together with us. Our new partner shares Lone Pine Group's ethos, vision and united we will be stronger in Creating Better Communities.
While Dato' Sri is no longer with us, his legacy will continue to live on through us.

Lone Pine Group of Companies 4.0
2020 was a challenging year for all of us, some suffered more than others when faced with this global pandemic. All of us here at Lone Pine Group of Companies continue to pray for your good health and safety.
While most Companies and the economy were closed during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period in 2020, we took this as an opportunity to improve ourselves. We started by streamlining our operations in many departments while upgrading our systems to be able to support the vast digitalisation of information contained within our Group of Companies so that we are able to serve you and the community better. Thereafter we implemented various strategies within our Group of Companies to strengthen ourselves both internally and externally.
Despite our continuous measures to improve ourselves, we have never once forgotten about our core values of Creating Better Communities. COVID-19 has damaged our economy and caused disproportionate harm to the less fortunate in our community. We were able to provide much needed rations and commodities to those in the community who are less fortunate and affected in this difficult time.
As the saying goes, every dark cloud has a silver lining. COVID-19 changed life as we know it and had us embrace a new norm whereby social distancing and digitalisation has dominated our lives. We are proud to announce that here at Lone Pine Group of Companies, we are prepared and equipped to embrace these new norms. We strive to serve and Create Better Communities for the future.

Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2020-2021
The Penjana initiatives relating to the property sector that were announced on 05/06/2020 includes the following:
1) The reintroduction of Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) effective 1 June 2020 until 31 May 2021.
2) The exemption of Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) effective from 1 June 2020 until 31 December 2021.
3) The removal of Loan-to-Value (LTV) Ratio for residential units priced from RM600,000 and above during HOC period.

Aspen Group in JV with Oxley to develop integrated project in Penang
Aspen Group’s subsidiary company, Aspen Park Hills Sdn Bhd, has signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Geo Valley Sdn Bhd, a member of the Lone Pine group, to acquire seven pieces of freehold land in Paya Terubong for RM165 million (S$54 million) for the development.
